Went out this morning to start my hill repeats back up and to see what my fitness was doing. For my hill repeats I find convenient local hills that have Strava segments on them that I can use as a measurement. I'd done some hill work last season and HAD KOM's on several of them. However a couple of them had been nabbed by the local racers, so I had a bit of a motivation to get back out there.
Since these were short hills it was all anaerobic, full gas and sheer power. I guess spending the off season with the weights did something for my power. I grabbed two KOM's on my morning ride, Strava link

after my second run at Abbey road but fortunately I didn't.
On my commute home I had the wind in my teeth for all but the last leg. Since the wind was gusting 20-25 out of the SE I took advantage of the tailwind and beat my previous KOM by 3 seconds, Strava link
