I liked the ride despite the rough roads near the end.

Paul...GREAT shots of everyone. Thanks for the pics. & leading the way(for the Stradas & FooRider). The Mesquite ride came highly recommended to Peggy & I from some friends who rode last year. With that said, I was very disapointed with the ride. The start was HORRIBLE & the roads  were DANGEROUS(IMO). I have no problem with chip/seal,but the ride was littered with potholes for almost the entire 56 mile route.  The positive was seeing everyone again(John,Paul,Ken,Mike,Richard,Linda & Greg).

I can ride for free almost anywhere for free(Celina comes to mind). So I donated $40 to this ride. I won't be back next year.

Great pics Paul!  Sorry to have missed some of you folks.  My bro-in-law and I didn't get started riding till about 10 after 8.  Look forward to the next time I can hook up with y'all for a 'bent paceline.  DJ

Greg,

Your strawberry looked terrible. I guess the old bum is the first thing to hit ground. Good luck with the lederhosen. Hope you didn't bung up the Tica.

It's in beautiful shape actually.  Not a scratch.  I made it in the car the 12 hours to colorado springs, so it must not be too bad!  Thanks for the well-wishes.

This was my first ride, as many of you know.  I had no idea what to expect exept maybe like Campion Trails or Whiterock, just more of it.  I have to admit that when I hit one of the hills, I was thinking really ugly thought toward my husband.   Angry  You know, the "What the heck did I let him influence me in to doing?" (Uh, come to think of it it didn't make me do it)  undecided  "I'm doing THIS so I can hang out with him!"   Huh
HOWEVER, once I finished and realized that I had just ridden 20 miles with hills, well, I felt fantastic.  I think I am hooked!  Oh....and not thinking those thoughts anymore.
I am so glad that I got to meet you, even though I can't remember all of the names and I look forward to seeing you all at many more rides.

In response to Linda, let me say I do appreciate the wives that ride with their hubbies. Riding 20, 40 or 60 miles on a hot day is not moonlight and roses. It takes a unique woman to put up with this, much less actually enjoy it. So kudos, hugs, kisses kiss, & pats on the back for hanging with your man Smiley. I guess this means you really love us!?

Steve --
You and Peggy want to host a group ride up in Celina sometime in July?
