Not 1 ride report per se
May 25th, 2020, 4:00pm

But I've got over 300 miles for this month. Just that is more than the last 4 years combined.   264 last month. Still have a little time left, even.

That’s great! I don’t think I even have 100 miles this month. These unusual times have gotten to me. Gotta fix that starting now. thanks for the inspiration.

"Slow and steady wins the race" is what all us slow and steady people say when we don't win the race.

26-May-20      TUE       DALLAS ROAD CYCLING(Clowns), with LARRY

Larry and I met up and did almost the same ride we did last Thursday. But my legs were sore and I had no idea why. Was it because I had one apple and 20 oz of water for breakfast? Have done that before but not this result. So don't know but Larry would go ahead and I seldom felt like pushing to catch up. It was unseasonably cold but I don't know if that would be a factor. I thought I might skip the afternoon ride.

26-May-20      TUE       MESQUITE ROAD CYCLING, POTEET

I had resolved to skip the afternoon ride, but at the last minute decided not to skip it. I usually ride the recumbent on the afternoon ride on Tuesday, but switched to my road bike with the aerobars this time. I still didn't feel like staying with the lead riders but at least my legs didn't hurt. I'd had a good lunch - that may have helped. My friend James P has had major trouble doing the pace he had always done in previous years. Now he is struggling with riding he would have found easy in previous years. I stayed with him so he could draft me. It was the least I could do.

MOSTLY CLOUDY & a little lt rain; wind: NW 2-13; start  temp: 72; min: 64; avg: 70; max: 72; end: 64
