26-May-20 TUE DALLAS ROAD CYCLING(Clowns), with LARRY
Larry and I met up and did almost the same ride we did last Thursday. But my legs were sore and I had no idea why. Was it because I had one apple and 20 oz of water for breakfast? Have done that before but not this result. So don't know but Larry would go ahead and I seldom felt like pushing to catch up. It was unseasonably cold but I don't know if that would be a factor. I thought I might skip the afternoon ride.

I had resolved to skip the afternoon ride, but at the last minute decided not to skip it. I usually ride the recumbent on the afternoon ride on Tuesday, but switched to my road bike with the aerobars this time. I still didn't feel like staying with the lead riders but at least my legs didn't hurt. I'd had a good lunch - that may have helped. My friend James P has had major trouble doing the pace he had always done in previous years. Now he is struggling with riding he would have found easy in previous years. I stayed with him so he could draft me. It was the least I could do.
