The clowns meet at Barbec's at 8:00 a.m for breakfast.  Tattoos are optional

If you want to skip breakfast you can meet the clowns at Sunset Bay at ABOUT 8:45

Is there a Clown ride this Thursday?  I have the opportunity to be off work, and may come down and join in if everything goes as planned.  What time/place to start?  Barbec's? WRL?

Not sure if I want this to be an interview though...that whole Tattoo thing and all. Smiley

Yes, we ride every Tuesday and Thursday. We meet for breakfast a little before 8:00 AM at Barbec's, and start riding at Sunset Bay about 9:00 AM. There is no interview. Once you ride with the Clowns, you become one.

You can get your official Clown tatt applied either at the shop across the street from Barbec's or by Clown #1, Texas prison style (sewing needle and ballpoint pen ink). You'll gain instant respect, if you have it applied by Clown #1. Cheesy

Just to be riding with such a celebrity should gain me some respect!  See you Thursday!

As thsi is my first official Clown ride, complete with breakfast at Barbec's, is there any official Clown uniform?  Or does one just wear something crazy?

Every once in a great while I'll wear my clown jersey. Others sometimes wear their RBENT jerseys. Some wear shorts and Tee shirts. No official uniform. We're Clowns, we don't care what anyone wears.  Smiley

If you come to the Ride tomorrow and get one, you'll be the first. Will be quite an honor.  Cheesy

Catina and I had a great time seeing so many clowns at breakfast.  I'm sorry we didn't ride further with the group, but we felt that we should not push the mileage.  We ended up doing about 46 miles.  We plan riding again next week.

Wow, that's one evil-looking clown. Urbinrider said he is thinking about a permanent tattoo. Maybe he could use that as an example. How about it Eddie?

By the way, that shop's name is "Suffer City".  Enjoy your experience.   Smiley

After some serious consultation the start time for the clown ride will change to 9:00 on the Tuesday AFTER Thanksgiving.

In Calendar speak, that is November 27, 2013

Glad to know that you all are still riding around WRL.  I may try to join you all over Christmas break if I am not in New Braunfels with the granddaughter that is due about that time.  I will still be on my mountain bike and will ride as long as I can before my wrists start screaming.  It will be great to see you all again!
