<<I certainly hope that I have to print a retraction on this one but I'm getting several e-mail reports that cycling luminary Sheldon Brown died of a massive and unexpected heart attack last night. Sheldon was one of the principals of Harris Cyclery and ran his own web site. He was one of the most knew all their was to know about bicycles and cycling and was always quick to share that knowledge through his articles or by answering questions. He also had a great sense of humor and showed this through several spoof product announcements. He spoke at our 2005 'BentRide event and was a huge hit. I also got to know him fairly well that weekend and have tried to keep in touch since. Sheldon had been battle Multiple Shlerosis the last two years and hadn't been able to ride. I don't know if his death was related or not. As soon as I can get a confirmation on this I'll update this post.>>
