Where are folks riding this Saturday?   Hopefully its a club ride.  Pay ride is OK.  I would like to suggest the GDB airport ride.

FYI I just talked to Mark Leuck.  Looks like im hanging with Mark and pedalling a pay ride called the ""Tour de Argyle".  Its the first year for this ride.  So their is no review.   We are going to meet at 7:00AM for the 8:00AM start.

I was going to ask the same thing. Both the Saturday and Sunday fwba rides are west of Fort Worth, nothing that excites me. Where is everyone riding?

Hi Folks,

What kind of length is the GDB airport ride?  Or I guess the alternative question about when do you usually finish up?

Take Care,
Nelson.

It's around 54 miles, as I recall. Sometimes, some riders do a second airport loop for an extra 19 miles.

I'm doing the 100k Argyle pay ride tomorrow.  If any other bent are planning on tearing up this new ride, let me know.  Unlike TTTT, I put on my Zipp front and Renn disk rear.  I plan on showing the DF boys who's the boss tomorrow.  Since I know most of these roads, I have an advantage, and plan on kicking some serious butt.

No mercy tomorrow... Plus I fly to Philly on Sunday for a week long business trip, and this will be my last ride for a while.

Look for Mark Leuck and myself as we are also planning on pedaling the 100K route at ""Tour de Argyle".  Mark will be on his Baron, he is super fast and also familiar  with those roads.  I will also be on my Baron and  do my best to draft YALL and hang on.  Its OK that YALL drop me.  Try to get arrive by 7:00AM so we can get a good pole postion.  FYI Mark likes to start in the middle of the pack so that he has lots of bikes to pass.  If you want we can get him to start up a little farther up the pack.  I have no preference.

Ray, Caroline and I are planning on riding the Argyle ride, but we're not riding with you guys--your are WAY too fast for us.  However, can you tell me what the terraine is like--hilly or relatively hilly.

We start from the southwest corner of Preston/Forest, at 8AM.  It's 18 miles out to the SHell station, then another 18 miles around the airport, then another 18 back.  We finish in roughly 4 hours.

Thanks Guys,  I thought I might squeeze it in but have learned I have some other plans Shocked, and after being gone 3 days last week I'd better not skip them. I'll try again in the future though.

Take Care,
Nelson.
