Anyone consider doing a century this Saturday? This is a FWBA club ride that starts in Crowley. I've ridden some of the roads on the route; it goes through Rio Vista, out to Covington, then back through Alvarado. Those are some pretty low traffic and not terribly hilly roads. Here's a link to the ride details. Besides the 98 and 58 mile options, according to the FWBA yahoo group page, there is also now a 40 mile option.
