Well,

I'm going to go to Plano Cycling and try some of the high-racers.

In-house stock is low right now.  On Friday, all they had was a Giro and a Cafe, no Corsa or Stradas.  Rick said it was more a matter of selling all he had recently, but that he had a couple being built in the back.  I also talked with him a bit about the lack of RANS stuff, and he said that RANS basically has no dealer financing terms -- anything that's on the floor, Rick has to buy outright.

I appreciate the posting.  I didn't get a chance to go by today, but it would have been a bust with no floow models.

Any thoughts on a Giro 20 vs a Phantom with a 20" front wheel?

I've got a Lightning Thunderbolt that is a S/M frame that I'm looking to sell.  I'm not sure if it's too small for your X-seam, but if your interested let me know.

I bought Steve's Cafe and my garage runneth over now.

Linda, will do.  Are you Richard's wife?  If so, he saw the bike on the Peach Pedal.  If you want, you can contact me at 214-202-2523.

Yep, I'm that Linda.  I'll try to call sometime this week.  I kinda got distracted from the bike as my son's deployment ended Monday when his ship pulled into Pearl Harbor.  Then he shows up at home last night on leave.  I didn't know until yesterday that he was getting first leave, so I'm scrambling to take off work and work around his schedule of visiting other relatives.  I'm sure not complaining....just dang proud to see him.  He may be 30, but in this momma's heart he's still my baby boy. There's a Lightning Stealth on the Dallas craigslist. The ad is here.

I don't know about that one. The ad states it's a LWB and has "lots of gears". Sounds like a scam.

That's a local ad. It's a bit hard to scam something when you can go look at it. Yes, they mistakenly call it a LWB, and their asking price seems too high to me, but they could just be a clueless seller and they might come down on the price. You never know....

I agree that the Stealth is mis-categorized as LWB.  I also think that it's priced a little high.  They stopped making the stealth (now called the phantom), and so it's not a very new version of this bike.

Dianna, I'll give Linda first dibs.  I've had two thunderbolts.  While I've loved them, I think I'm going to get something a little lighter and with better components.

Thanks though,
DA

DA, I understand.  Glad to see that you're still looking in the Lightning family though.

Linda, give me a call.  I"ll go back to the bike shop and pick the Thunderbolt up and bring her home so that you can look, ride if you want.

Linda/Richard I have the Thunderbolt at home and I think from your remarks about the Campion Trail being under water, we probably don't live that far apart.  Just call me if you want to meet or come to see/test ride the Thunderbolt.  She's in the garage.

Here's another flaky Lightning ad on Dallas craigslist, one they call both a Stealth and P-38. $1300 is a good price if it's a P-38.
