Best of the Northwest Ride, Sat June 30th, 7:30
Jun 4th, 2007, 12:13pm

The GDB has its quarterly Best of the Northwest ride scheduled for the 5th Saturday in June, 7:30 AM departure starting at Big Buck's steakhouse at 121 and Bass Pro Drive, north of DFW airport.  This ride goes up through the Argyle area for about 50+ miles, with some challenging climbs, but is a great rural route.

I'm planning on making this one -- Charlie, Stradas, or any of you other northerners, care to join in?   Bud, Greg, DJ, it's just north of the airport, so not TOO far... It'll be about a 16 mph average, with 17-20 on the flats, similar to or a bit slower than what we did on the Rodeo Rally last weekend, but is essentially no drop.

For more information, contact me, or call Joe Rohner 214-987-1822

Hey Paul!  Sounds like fun, but I'll be in Georgia the last couple of weeks this month.  Otherwise I'd do it.  DJ

Turns out the BotNW ride is starting at 8AM, not 7:30 as earlier advertised...  I'm anticipating riding it, but the way life's been interfering with cycling plans lately....   undecided

I'll probably be riding this one. Anyone else gonna help me harass the uprights?

How much + is the 50+?  I'm ok with doing the route and dogging the uprights, but I need to get some mileage in for sure!

Paul knows the route. Maybe he could put us together an extra loop.

I don't think it's 60...  but we could put together a metric extension, fer sure!  Hell, we could even go 'round the airport!!!

Kinda depends on the rain, obviously...  I'm planning to ride it, weather permitting...
