GDB Third Thursday Time Trial

Well, I'm going to attempt the TTTT again tomorrow night, first time since March... Don't know if I'll break 20 minutes again, but we'll see -- haven't been riding much lately. Slight chance of rain, but the wind forecast is next to ZERO -- kind of wish we had 15 mph blowing, it gives me an advantage!!! Grin

This ride leaves from the Mesquite Poteet HS parking lot at 6PM, rides out to the Mesquite Airport for the TTTT, then back...

Turns out I'm going to miss it, due to work and transportation (car) issues... cry

The couple of times I've done it (Feb/Mar) I was the only 'bent, but there's a guy in Mesquite who does it occasionally (Andy Floyd, who rides a lowrider Speedmachine) that's faster than I am by about a minute.

Greg, next week won't work, it's a once a month thing (Third Thursday, ya know...)

Funny kind of a thing... I guess all this talk of "aerodynamic advantage" of a 'bent has some substance behind it...

A pretty speedy buddy of mine who's been getting faster consistently (that did the Mesquite Ride averaging 24 mph) just did the TTTT last night, and STILL didn't break the 20 minute mark...
