This was a good ride last year, despite scattered thunderbummers (which created a GREAT rainbow through the start of the ride!)... I did the 100 miles. If we register 8 or more riders together from RBENT, it's only $15 each... such a deal! Anyone care to join me for a century??? Waxahachie is at least SOMEWHAT centrally south of everyone... Ellis county has chipseal, but it's not REALLY bad...
Here's some info from the website

THE RIDE!
Our ride is not a race, and will consist of 10, 19, 36, 46, 75 and 100 mile tours on a well marked course.
The 10 mile is a leisurely in-town tour of historic Waxahachie, with unique “Gingerbread Homes” and “National Historical Register Landmarks”, such as the octagon-shaped Chautauqua Auditorium in Getzendaner Park and the Ellis County Courthouse. All ages can participate with confidence of a safe ride. This years in town ride will also utilize part of the new Hike ‘n Bike Trail that Waxahachie has opened, the ride will also go through the downtown area and if you want you may stop and eat or shop in the many antiques and arts & crafts shops around the square. This is an ideal ride for beginners, children and families seeking a fun morning together.
The 19, 36, and 46 mile tours go through some very beautiful, scenic parts of Ellis County.
The 75 and 100 mile tours are excellent rides through the beautiful countryside of South West and Southern Ellis County and parts of Johnson, Hill and Navarro Counties. There are some rolling hills, but most of the roadways are fairly flat.
All courses other than the Waxahachie City 10 mile are on paved rural state and farm roads, most of which have no shoulder. FOR YOUR SAFETY YOU ARE STRONGLY URGED TO RIDE SINGLE FILE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE TO ALLOW AUTOMOBILE TRAFFIC TO PASS. The finish takes you through Historic Downtown Waxahachie and into the back of the High School which will have less traffic.
