50-mile "Dallas Loop"
Jul 3rd, 2023, 9:33am

There's an article in the Sunday Morning News Arts and Life section about the proposed trail loop around Dallas.  The architecture critic Mark Lamster describes the proposed components of the loop, and how they are to be connected up.  The details are scant, but the aim seems to be to complete it this decade.  He does mention a couple of sticky points, dealing with getting over the railroad tracks near I-35, and revising the Oak Lawn-HiLine intersection.  Apparently there is still some head butting going on.

It's encouraging to know there is a plan to do this, but it seems by the time it gets done, any of us left may have to schedule several days to do a complete inaugural circuit of it!
