I tried https at the beginning, and when that didn't work, I tried replacing it with just http, and that works. I've had to do the same thing with imgur. http://i.ibb.co/xXGw9RS/96cd1de19f06c208-full.jpg is what you need to put inside the image braces.

I clicked on "Linked BBCode", then pasted the resultant link into the Forum message window (See second photo). I didn't have to do any link editing to get it to work.

If you'll check my last couple of hundred posts where I've posted imgur photos, you'll find that I've changed the https to http because what I copied from imgur didn't work.
