Dear Bacchetta Community,
 
      I am writing to provide an update on Bacchetta and solicit your help.  2020 has been a tough year for Bacchetta and others in the niche recumbent industry.  We closed our doors in March, sent everyone home not knowing if/when we might reopen, had solid online sales in April, so we came back at the beginning of May.  Our dealers flooded us with orders over the summer, and we were on track to have our best year in the last five.  But COVID delayed our shipments, and we ran out of bikes to sell in August and sold out of many parts and accessories this fall.  As a result, we have had to cut expenses and work part-time.
 
     While we survived the COVID virus, we have not done well with the COVID supply chain shortages.  The shutdown in Asia created a six-month parts shortage amplified by increased worldwide demand for bikes and components.  The Treks, Cannondales, and Giants of the industry are using their clout to get stuff in and forcing the niche manufacturers to the back of the line.  As a result, our shipments were delayed for many months.  Fortunately, today, we found out that our long-awaited container of bikes, frames, and parts/accessories is leaving port this week with an expected arrival the second week in February.
 
     However, we are in a cash bind and up against bank loans due and the need to place and pay for a new order for the next container.   Here’s where you can help.  If you, or anyone you know, buy a new bike, part, or accessory, and order and pay 1/2 before January 15th, we will give you a 10% discount on the price.  Just use the code COVIDHELP when you order by phone, email, or check out on the online store.  (In the Coupon Code Input Window)
