sounds good - think I'm going to try to make this one guess we will see what is going on that day.  Spring can't get here soon enough!

What kind of surfaces are we talking here?  At least now I have a choice of weapons.  If it's majority chipseal, I'll take the bike.

Look at the reviews. It is fairly flat with good roads.

Traffic should be comparitively light in the SS area.  We looked at some houses there.  Hopefully it will be dry the week before the ride so the roads are not flooded or anything.  Blackland clay soils do not drain well...

We might even get to this ride.  After all, it is pretty close to Paris.

Vic, what I'm asking about is the surface, smooth or chipseal.  It seems you know what it looks like there, what is your prognosis, Doctor?  If I go, and it's country, I will have to take the bike, if it's complete.  It's still waiting for pedals and a bag. Country or city?

I don't know the route Key, but I expect asphalt and or chipseal, for road surfaces.  The two reviews from last year, in the above link, were very favorable.

This is coming up next weekend, the 12th... weather forecast looks promising, and the ride reviews on Bicycle-Stuff.com look very complimentary.   Anyone planning to do this one?  I'm considering it, for the 60...

I'm attempting to recruit a few other DF riders to do it with me.  I'll be there assuming the weather conditions are good if you want to join us/me.  I'll be looking to do the 60 mile route at 17-18 avg if I get others.  If I'm solo it will probably be less.

I'm going to do the 60, on the XStream - Terrie doesn't feel up to the 37 on the tandem.  However, I haven't pre-registered -- I'll wait on clear skies...

Was thinking I might try the 27m to get me going earlier this year, but I think the forcast is going to deter me.

I've decided it's too high of a rain chance.  Not going...   Smiley
