Making a Buzz....

I don't need to tell any of y'all that our bikes get plenty of comments anywhere we go. Today as I took off on my morning ride I rode past an elementary school that is near my house. The kids were out running their laps in P.E. class I saw the usual pointing and yelling. This time I was close enough to hear one of the kids. What I thought he might say was-"There's that cool guy on that cool bike!" What he yelled out was-"There's that old guy on the cool bike!" Oh, well.....

Adults should have fun so kids will want to grow up!

For every mile of road there's two miles of ditch.

I'd rather be sorry for something I did than for something I didn't do.

There's a bike passing. Ooo! It's a lay-down bike!" Girl: "I want a lay-down bike!"

I took my home built coroliner out for a test spin and four young men, in their 20's, saw me. They were taking videos of me riding with their cell phones. One says, you are pretty fast, for and old guy. They all wanted to know if I had an electric motor inside. They just had to look. 3 of the 4 said they wanted a recumbent bike. I heard why when I was riding off, if an old fart like that can go that fast on it, I want one. lol Smiley

I get about 15 miles per honey bun!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets the old guy (fart) comment!
