Its just water .. you won't melt, and you'll have bike riding stories to tell your grandkids .. "The day I road in the rain with a bunch of other lawn-chair riding crazies and --- happened" Bob F. and I could tell stories about going down the side of a hill in the pouring rain, while riding a couple of Vision USS R45s sliding all over the road, covering multiple lanes in what only could be called "Drunken S Turns" and somehow getting to the bottom of the mile or so 3% drop while remaining upright. You don't get stories like that by hiding indoors from the weather. no-sir! .. of course you don't have the dreams you wake screaming from either as your subconscious relives the terror, but that is just a small price to pay.
I'll be happy to lead a no-drop group ride out from there (or RBM) -- if it doesn't rain that is ..
I'll keep an eye out on the weather and post something here
So 12:30 lunch .. how about a 9:30 start for a 20-30 mileish ride? we can either do the RBM route or do some of the MUPs and other routes north of there in plano. Selfishly a 9:30 start will give me time to ride in from my home without having to break out the lights. We can keep an eye on the weather and make a go/no go call by 10pm saturday night. (and if you want to ride from my house in, your welcome to join, but the pace will be rather brisk)
