Some friends of mine own a coffee roasting company downtown, called Full City Rooster -- they're located at 1810 S. Akard, near Akard and Corinth, south of the downtown freeway canyon. They do tours, etc. on Saturdays, and I thought it might be fun do stop by as a group, and drink some coffee, and even maybe buy some beans/ground while we're there.

on_id=4 However, given the location, I've been trying to figure out a starting point and route plan that makes sense... and this is what I've come up with at the moment.
We would meet at the south end of WRL, and ride the Santa Fe trail over into downtown... then make our way through downtown over to Riverfront Drive and explore the pedestrian bridge and Trinity trail paths for a bit... then ride back into downtown to go to Full City Rooster... then ride back to WRL. Who knows where we'll go?
Given a casual, exploratory, NO DROP pace, and random pedestrian traffic and stoplights, and stopping for the coffee tour, this might be a "four-hour tour"... but that's only an estimate, and I have no idea how many miles we would end up with (but probably less than 30)
If this sounds like an entertaining idea, chime in -- let's plan a rollout time of 8:30 for Saturday 9/20, from the south parking lot on Winstead, down the street from the 7-11. Bring your wallets, and let's do a Tour de Coffee!!
