Plano Cycling & Fitness

Piloted my bikes' mother ship up to PC&F to register for Saturday's Lancaster Country Ride. Looked for recumbents amid the mass of uprights on the floor and hanging from the roof beams. Only found two - a Bacchetta Bella, and a RANS SXP. Looks like anyone in the DFW area that wants a test ride on a high-performance Bacchetta will have to drive down to Easy Street Recumbents in Austin.

I saw several recumbents last time I was in Richardson Bike Mart.  I don't remember what kind they were though.

When I visited RBM, Richardson, several weeks ago, the only high performance recumbent they had on the floor was a Catrike 700. RBM is DFW's Catrike Dealer. PC&F is the Bacchetta dealer for the eastern DFW area, and John's Bicycles is the RANS dealer for eastern DFW. Easy Street Recumbents is a one-stop shop, as they are a dealer for all three brands plus several others. PC&F is no longer a RANS dealer, so I was surprised to see what I thought was a new SXP on their floor, yesterday. The posted price was $1,800, but the MSRP of a 2013 SXP is $2,500, so maybe it's a used bike.

Yep, it's a used bike, on consignment.  Even John is struggling a bit with what models to have on the shop floor - it's hard to get people to try one.

Today they had an EZ-go and a RANS crank forward.  There was a new 700, and the usual others.  The folders are starting to compete for space.
