Bonus miles
Apr 12th, 2011, 5:27pm

As we rode up White rock Creek trail we noticed the barrier to the cottonwood trail was pulled aside.
Being either brave or stupid we decided to check it out.   After passing several barriers and a couple working vehicles we were rudely informed that the trail was still closed.
By now we were past all the barriers so we rode on.
It is a nice trail, takes you under the High Five then under Central and ends more or less at Mahan road.
Since I was parked at LBJ and Jay had to get back to white rock we had to make our way across Coit road to Meandering way and down to Valley View Lane.
In al that we got 4 bonus miles.  for 66 miles total.

Decided to do a bonus lap when I arrived back at the Lake. Ran across the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders filming a WRL Centennial celebration public information commercial. A nice ending to a long (for me) ride.  Smiley

Reminds me of the closing scene of Dumb and Dumber when the tour bus full of swimsuit models pulls up and asks Harry & Lloyd directions.  How come that never happens to me!?!

Must have been who I saw when I finished up yesterday.  Two young women were overdressed for the weather in sparkly sweatsuits.  Bob M.
