I'm still in the testing phase of the EVBlazer's Cruzbike Softrider and as I took a corner at about 20 MPH it started to get a bit squirrely under me, possibly due to the rear shock not being loaded enough, or the experience of the rider...but I didn't go down, even though I placed my right foot down hard enough to make a squeal sound with the rubber sole!! Now my right leg is a bit sore, but nothing broken and no lost skin!! Because of the panic factor, I tensed up my legs which of course affected the steering adding to the slight swerve also. The swerve combined with the springy feeling made it quite fun. (Oh yes-who needs brakes-I don’t need no stinking brakes! It’s amazing how much I can now remember from those 4 seconds of panic!)
Mark did you ever experience this phenomenon? I had the tires pumped up, but it felt like the back tire was rolling off the rim, but then it didn’t…it was just weird. Any other FWD MBB drivers out there? I know there are some Cruzbike Silvio riders in Allen and Plano, but I’ve not been able to make contact with them yet.
All of this to say I need more time on the bike and need to adjust it for me yet further! It is amazing to me how different this ride is, but it is still fun. 25Hz and Reku Papa, both long time FWD MBB riders say I’ll need at least 500 miles on the bike to really feel comfortable…only about 450 to go!
Mark, I’ll try and make a decision soon, so you are not hanging out there too long. At least the weather is letting me ride some!
I also may try out the other frame again, or build another one to get the seat lower, but that is another project!!
