Did you know you can do a 100K in Rowlett.....

.... and never leave the city (more specifically the west side of the city).  However, I don't think I can recommend it.  You can't find any better pavement, but my 12.5 mile out and back route starts getting boring on the 3rd lap.  Don't even ask me about the 5th one.   On the plus side I saw one other bike (dad riding with his kid) so that is good.  But I'd rather watch some of the more attractive specimen of the other gender at WRL.   Approx 1700 ft of climbing according to my low tech approach using ridewithgps.com (since I have yet to obtain a GPS).

Toasted and dying at the end.......but at least I finished it and beat the rain.

...the only way to lose your balance on a trike.  Like Artie Johnson in his yellow raincoat.
