Anybody else excited about an possible single digit commute!  ....  I mean besides EVBlazer!
Already got 18 degrees this week!  Global Warming is going to be a hard sale after this winter.

Take Care,

Global Warming doesnt' mean it is hotter overall it means wild swings in temperature and weather conditions all over created by cooking the books to make them say whatever you want er I mean uh.. Well anyhow my wife it quite annoyed at this weather since she only agreed to move down here mostly to get out of the cold.

Why yes in fact even though I'm not commuting I'll be getting out there. Work is a little too far for me in my current state but I'll be riding around town a bit in the morning and in the afternoon when I can. Everyone should get out a bit just for the fun of it even if you aren't going very far. You might find it suprising how fast you warmup and want to keep going.
Of course the 40mph+ gusts of winds might be a slight adventure.

Saw this note on the Houston-area "TeamBent" discussion list:

The annual ride of the Teambent "Polar Bears" has been set for Friday morning at daybreak. As always, the weather looks challenging, but nothing the "Polar Bears" can't handle. please remeber to observe the dress rules in order to get credit and recertification as a "Polar Bear":

spandex only. No jackets, balaclavas of any other non-spandex items.

As in prior years, those who finish the ride, properly attired, will be treated to the usual chili lunch and the re-warming ceremony at the unisex jacuzzi at the Y.
