Nacogdoches Tour de Nac
Nov 14th, 2009, 10:53pm

Instead of doing the usual White Rock or Flower Mound/Grapefine ride I drove almost 200 miles to Nacogdoches (the oldest town in Texas) for the 3rd annual Tour de Nac (that's what the sign said), only about 30 riders. 1 recumbent (me), 1 handcycle and the rest were wedgies.

Poorly marked so like the Ennis ride a couple of weeks ago I missed a turn adding another 5-6 more to the 53 mile route. the section going up 259 was fast although after that it was about 4,000 ft of hills and lots chipseal. No traffic control, rest stops were okay. The people were friendly and served Chick-fil-A and M&M's at the end.
