2benzrnt rbent member Posts: 3	Profile picture Apr 13^th, 2009, 10:15pm I get an error message saying there are extra characters in my link or in the picture. I want to add a picture that's on my desktop. Pretty simple but for some reason it just won't upload.

Bud_Bent Moderator Posts: 3311	Re: Profile picture Reply #1 - Apr 14^th, 2009, 9:00am You can't upload a photo from your computer. You need to link to a photo that's on photo bucket or some other image site.

Put it onto a public photo-sharing board, like www.photobucket.com, and use that link to the picture where it says "I have my own picture" This is the format line from mine:

It didn't show immediately. I logged out and back in, still no change. I'll maybe give the system a chance to update and check again. Thanks for the help.

Looking at your profile, I can't see where anything's been changed. You have to check the box that says, "I have my own pic", and enter the link to the photo. If you want to just send me the link in a pm, I can make the change.

Same thing for anyone else who'd like to link to a photo for their avatar. I don't mind doing that.
