Terracycle light mount -- got one?
Sep 10th, 2008, 9:18am

Does anyone have one of the Terracycle "Multi-purpose accessory mount" units that they could loan me?  I'm trying to figure out the best place and method to mount my HID light on the XStream (not on the handlebar itself), and this looks like it MIGHT work...  but I'd rather not spend $40 to find out...

I ordered two from them.
Got the charge on my account but no mounts. They use US Postal so no way to track shipment.

Hi Paul,

I have one I can loan you that I was using on the Corsa, but since switching to a One Arm Bandit I have temporarily retired it.
Let me know one day and maybe we can hook up for lunch.

Take Care,
Nelson.

That is somewhat shocking I have never had an issue with them.

I actually use one of there front mounts on my GRR. http://www.terracycle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=T&am p;Product_Code=accmtsTEandLWB&Category_Code=Acmts.

Keep in mind that for a LWB you have to have the special LWB mount that attaches to the forks......

No, I should be able to mount it to the riser - - it's 1-1/4" tubing, supposedly within the useable range.  But, we'll see....

Looks like Nelson's will go on the handlebar extension section, which MAY work, although it's not as low as I might like.

[update:  I stopped in at my local "kid's bike" shop, 'The Bike Shop", and their mechanic had all SORTS of Cateye clamp rings -- we found a couple larger ones, and I hooked it up and installed it on the riser last night.  Looks like it's going to work just fine...!  Thanks, Nelson!]
