The Zipp 404's alone cost close to that. How do you know it's broken, Greg? Did you contact them? If someone has a frame they're building up and want good stuff on it, this might work well.

Brad went down there and inspected it a couple weeks ago actually, intending to buy it.  Broken at the seat stay if I recall.  The guy was going to contact B and see about getting it resolved if possible, so if you're interested you could keep it in mind.  I hadn't thought about just the componentry though - you're right.  It's still a potential deal.

Ya, $70 in fuel that I'm more than happy to have not had to deal with someone shipping it.      The bike is legit, he's the original owner, documentation and paperwork is in order.   His knees or something didn't work with the bike, so he's still on his DF bike.      The left chainstay was cracked.  It looked as if it was a factory defect as there wasn't much carbon there. I suspect he'll get it repaired and have it available soon.   If not, I already have put an offer in on the bike 'as is'.

You'd be hard pressed to get your money out of it at $2500.   The zips will only bring 600-800 on eBay. There isn't much demand for 650 wheels.     Cranks will bring about 150, carbon seat 200-250 and then the rest of the stuff.

I have large photos here somewhere if anyone wants closer photos of the bike.
