Rides 3/15 - 3/22
Mar 14th, 2008, 9:46am

I've basically got every single day to ride whereever/however I so desire.  At the moment my only plans are to do a night ride for 30-40 miles at the loop around the Texas Motor speedway, but I'd enjoy company any day someone can get out and ride this weekend or next week.

Who's up for a weekday ride?

Hey when you going to TMS? I live about 10 miles east and have never been. I could hand you some water or keep time as you lap me. (Edit: Averaging 15mph on my commutes via giro so far)

I had to bring my bike back to Plano today due to drivetrain eating issues. They said they might have it ready today.

Hi  Greg,

I'm in San Antonio for Spring Break until Thursday, but a night ride sounds interesting.  I'm planning a decent effort on Thursday as a final tuneup for the the HCTT.  Won't be too exciting though, as I live permanently in the Base and Taper phases of the training cycle.  Let me know if you decide on that day, and I'll try an meet you, otherwise it'll be my usual circuit of the Plano Crit Course.  I did it yesterday evening and had the pleasure of going hard with a PACC team rider.  He jumped on my wheel after I was about 3 laps into my 5 lap hard effort, but he couldn't come around as I kept it dialed up around 27mph avg the last 2 laps.  So I felt good about that, but its not going to be pretty at the TT as that's about it for hard efforts this year.

Take Care,
Nelson.

I'm pretty sure I can do a couple of 27 mph laps as soon as I find a "lap" that is downhill the entire circle!  Grin  Unfortunatley, my training is permanently in the "training wheels" stage!

I was thinking on doing laps Sunday night, Tuesday night, and/or Thursday night.  I'm basically available any day except monday or Friday, so I'm good to go whenever!

I wouldn't mind joining you on a few laps around TMS.  I live pretty close to there, have been around it a few times in the past, and a flat 5 mile loop would be a nice change of pace from my usual rides.  Let me know what time you'll be there.

Hi Greg,

looks like I'm going to have to pass on the TMS tonight,  too much stuff piled up from vacation.  Also I'm sucking pretty bad, I really enjoyed my vacation but I ate too much and rode too little, ugh!

Take Care,
Nelson.
