I think it depends on how the bike is made. I've had an all CF road bike, various CF parts on lowracers, and my current lowracer is half CF. The aero is almost `00% cf, and I think it's one of the most solid and stable pieces of machinery I've ridden. The only thing that seemed more solid was the nocom, which is also all cf.
I think it's as safe as aluminum for sure.
