Uncle Calvin's Coffeehouse shows
Feb 11th, 2008, 10:33am

Some of you know I'm into the fingerstyle/folk/acoustic guitar thing...  There's an excellent coffeehouse in Dallas at Walnut Hill and 75, called Uncle Calvin's, that has shows practically every Friday featuring national touring artists.  I'll be posting info on this thread on upcoming concerts of interest, for those who would like a fun, inexpensive evening out in a nonsmoking listening environment...  If you plan to attend, let me know and we can meet up!

Coming soon, another excellent guitarist/songwriter/performer!

Friday, Feb 29th

Brooks Williams http://www.brookswilliams.com/

Magnificent guitar playing, ranging from delicate dreamy riffs to fiery finger picked Latin rhythms to stinging blues soaked slide, cool soulful doodles and swinging jazz,--often within the same song--is just one aspect of Brooks’ talent. His baritone voice is just as well played; smooth and silky on love songs, gritty and growlin’ on the bluesy ones, and jaunty on reggae spiced numbers. And his quick wit brightens his delightful concerts. Tonight he introduces his new CD.

Here's a good YouTube video:
