You'd never fit, Terry.  You're 8 feet tall for frick's sake!    Grin
Per the website, 6'2" is the max, and I slide just under that at 6'1".

Anyway, the best news is that Dave's health problems aren't so bad.  Rbent has had too big a share of these this last year.

Good news though is that Dave has agreed to wait for a bit and see if I can sell the ti-aero that LITERALLY arrived on my doorstop last night.  I wuz gonna have pics today for you guys but I dunno if I want to put it together since it will hopefully be right back out the door.

As much as I would L-O-V-E to pull the trigger & make this transaction, unfortunately the expenditure is NOT in the budget. Putting me on a Carbon fiber Aero is like putting most of us in a Ferrari GT. I stick with my Strada. It's been good to me.

Recumbents are rare enough that you might get it back.  Post a message on bentrideronline.com in the stolen bike section of the forums.

Steve - were you and Peggy out riding yesterday?  I just had a friend stop by my office and say that he saw a vehicle with 2 red Bacchetta's in tow.  I momentarily drifted into a Rush tune, but he slapped me back into consciousness.

Paul - close your eyes for a minutes....

Now that the family is growing, someone needs to step up and coordinate a Bacchetta ride.  I don't have the leadership, logistical or "Type A" personality skills to acheive such greatness.  I vote for Robert or Charlie  Grin

Ray, Yes. Our MS-150  team had a meeting & casual ride yesterday in Flower Mound(we rode down to the lake & other areas in Flower Mound-26 miles).  We rode right past the area you had a chain/cassette issues during our Rbent ride in 2007.

Foorider was there with his Corsa as well.

My wife thinks recumbent riding fits my personality perfectly.  I think she described my new biking habits in a Christmas letter a few years ago as "riding around in my lounge chair."  She and I went out for her first ride other than around the neighborhood last Sunday, mostly doing around 10 mph, and she was kidding me about yawning all the time! Grin

Ray, I'll think about trying to organize a Bacchetta ride, right after my nap.........

Well to organize and lead a ride requires some "Type A" characteristics, but not the whole package. I forget what the "normal" recumbent rider personality type is but I think Type R would be a good description Tongue Roll Eyes

Hi Greg,

I understand you're angling the CA for Rando events?  What kind of tires/wheels are you thinking of running.  I've been pleased with the stoutness of my 26" 32 spoke ultegra/velocity fusion/stelvio setup, but I'm thinking about running something a bit faster.  Maybe the stock wheels with Michelin pro race 2's.  Even toyed with running the Renn Disk, but that can be a handful in windy conditions, and I'm not sure about the durability.  What are your luggage plans?  I've been pretty good with the brain bag for warm weather events.  An event that required more clothing options might be difficult with just the brain bag.

Also are you planning on the Mar 22nd HCTT on the TiCa or CA?

Take Care,
Nelson.

Outstanding Deal! and I would buy it from you in a heart beat if I hadn't just purchased another bike.
I ride a medium as I recently had a Tour Easy in that size.

Ray you might want to look at it for Angie, depends on her xseam / inseam  I'm a 29" inseam about 40"xseam and the medium frame is right at the forward stops for me, so it might be too big for Angie.

Good questions.  Currently on the bike are vredestein fotezzas that can run at 175psi!!   Shocked.  But I doubt I'll run them over 125.  I've heard they're good racing tires.  The wheels are the stock velocity I believe.  I'll likely put pro race 2's on them.  Good enough for Mark Metcalf - good enough for me.  I'm definately setting the bike up fo rrando events.  I'll likely get a brain bag and a kit to convert the fastback LS to a dual.  That plus a bento box ought to cover me enough to get between any two controls I would think.  If I have to, I'll get a set of lowracer panniersand ditch the fastback.  Don't want to weight the rear with a luggage rack.

I'd like to get a set of aero wheels, but I'll settle for covering the rear wheel with cocoplast and let it go for now - I'm gearing this year with a serious training schedule in mind, and some of the training stuff I want is stupid expensive.
