Bike routes near the TMS?
Nov 21st, 2007, 10:39pm

I have a friend who wants to meet me at the TMS for a quick bike ride.  Anybody have any routes that leave from near there for say 20-30 miles?

Greg, the routes for the second day of the MS150 and the Tour D'Cure all leave from the TMS.  The routes are on their sites.  The Argyle ride route leaves from Argyle, but that's not too far from TMS either. Good luck.

Greg, I don't have any documented routes from TMS, but I ride there a lot from Flower Mound.  As a matter of fact, the day your all joined me in Flower Mound, we came real close to the road (hwy 156) that runs north/south from TMS.

Also, riding the perimiter of TMS is great time trial training.  I think it's 4 miles around, is fairly flat, so you can fly for as long as you want.  There are usually a fair number of cyclists riding there.

To get in 20-30 miles, you could ride (again, we rode many of these roads on the Flower Mound ride):
north on 156 out of TMS
As you pass downtown Justin turn right on highway 407
Turn Left on Faught Road
Turn Right on Old Justin Road
Cross over I35, stay on Old Justin till you get to hwy 377
Turn left on 377
Turn Left on Crawford Road
Turn Left on Crawford Road (turns into Robson Ranch after you pass I35)
Turn Left on Faught Road
Turn Right on 407
Turn Left on 156 and back to TMS

Let me know when you're going, and if you don't mind, I'll join you.
