Well, this morning, starting out on the Airport Ride, I pulled/pushed a little too hard on my SXP handlebars, and heard a "SNAP"... and suddenly they were extremely moveable up and down, like I was cranking one of those railroad handcars... Turns out that I stripped the threads in the (aluminum) handlebar clamp -- possibly from some overtorquing, as well. I took it up to PCF, and they also found a slight crack forming in the weld joint(!)... Naturally, it's a special order part from RANS, but they started to take the piece off the SXP they had on the floor to keep me riding till the replacement came in -- but then they realized that they had people scheduled in from out of town coming specifically to test ride the SXP, so we couldn't do the swap... So, till Thursday or so, I'll be back on the EZ1 or Catrike... (Still no response from Velocity on my Thracian wheel crack issue....) PB
