Tica has arrived!
May 16th, 2007, 6:40pm

I think the subtitle of this post should be "Eat it, Terry!"   Grin

Frame came yesterday, and the wheels came today.  It's not ready to go yet - I'm having some issues setting up the front derailleur, but everything else seems to be ship-shape.

I'll have better pictures for later, but here's a slideshow of the bike on the stand in my all torn up garage I'm still in the process of remodeling.

Awesome looking bike! Are you going to try it out tomorrow? You did remember to get your pilot license renewed, didn't you?

In spite of not being able to shift the front der, and the front brake also needing adjustment, I got it out on the road in my hood for a few minutes.  I don't have the tools to adjust the brake and I have NO idea how to fix the derailleur cable - the housing seems to be kinked.   Even just using the back brake will lock the wheel up though - those Bram's Brakes are sweet.

And apparently I hadn't tightened my rear skewer enough and the rear wheel promptly fell off!  Thankfully the only mark was on the skewer.  It's nice and tight now, you can bet!  I was babying the thing because of the carbon, but Garrie said to tighten that sucker up nice.

It's a land luge for sure though.  I can EASILY support myself on the bike with my hands, where I could barely touch fingertips to the ground on the baron.  Garrie won't be able to get me that headrest fast enough though - it's quite laid back.

Gonna take some getting used to.  Even with the monoblade fork, the chain rubs sooner than it did on the baron, so I'm going to have to re-learn how to turn.  Looks like it's the dam only for me tomorrow night, if I can get the der. cable fixed.
