I used a company conduit bender, and bent the fork at work (shhhhhh.......don't tell anyone). It didn't work very well either; it took some welding on the collapsed spots to make it passable. Even then, it didn't have as much rake as I wanted, so I had been watching ebay for a cheap, longer fork, and found one a couple of weeks ago (a $1 bid and $15 shipping snagged it). I'd already killed a second fork with the conduit bender, so this time I stopped by Northern Tool and bought a hydraulic pipe bender, something I had been threatening to buy for a long time. It did a nice job. There are still some marks in the area of the bend (I chose that spot for my reflective tape), but nothing big enough to cause a structural problem. You are welcome to borrow it. Extra taping/padding might let you bend with no marks, but I won't guarantee that.
