Archer d1x
May 26th, 2020, 8:14pm

I was recently quoted 2400 for an electronic shifting setup because I'd need to go to an 11spd drivetrain, etc. I'm considering getting one of these and loving with a manual front shifter.   My hands are starting to get sore a lot faster these days.

Have Archer D1x shifters installed on my GS Aero and Catrike Speed trikes. I'll never go back to bar end shifters.

Sweet. I'll know who to call for tech support. Are you just using manual shifters for the front?

Yes, using manual shifters for the front on both trikes.

Have you seen this thread on BROL: http://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=151005

Manual, side-mount front shifter.                                                                                                                                   Wireless pushbutton station. Had to rotate it a little clockwise to clear my leg.

D1x shifter mounted on upper rear stay.

I'm actually doing a review of the Archer D1X on my Quest. It took a a bit to install mostly by myself, but I'm almost ready to go for a ride with it. Archer will probably be referencing my video for velo riders. I did buy a much onger cable to get the 'box' up in the cockpit where I could turn it on and off easier. When the video is ready, it will post to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/CatrikeTheFlamingEyeball

Jim,

Doug Davis, Owner of Bicycle Evolution, has installed Archer shifters on several velos.
Thanks for posting the link to your channel. Looking forward to your review.
