Bessie's Creek 24

Hello!

Will anyone be at Bessie's Creek this weekend? My fiancee (Ray) will be there doing the 24 in his Quest velomobile and we'd love to meet you.  We're new transplants to Plano.

We're also happy to meet up for beverages at other times too! Smiley

Welcome to Plano ..

I'm also a velonaut .. having both a mango and a milan velomobile ..  I can't make Bessie Creek this weekend because of family plans  ..  I wish Ray the best of luck .. that should be a good velomobile course.

I'll PM you with my telephone number and email there is a tonne of riding in the area, you really couldn't have transplanted to a better place!

+1 on what Doug said.  We have weather wienies who ride all year round here.  Local clubs do send riders to Bessies Creek, particularly Lone Star Randonneurs.  I'm out of the endurance racing business, but I have been known to tip a few.   Smiley

I think you will like the course. There is just one short, but somewhat steep hill as you are on your way back to the hotel that serves as the start/finish. You can get a good run at it though and may handle it just fine. It only happens once every @21 miles! Good luck to you!

Adults should have fun so kids will want to grow up!

For every mile of road there's two miles of ditch.

I'd rather be sorry for something I did than for something I didn't do.
