Jan 27th, 2017, 1:21pm

On behalf of the Tyler Bicycle Club,  I would like to invite your to join us once again for the Beauty and the Beast Bicycle Tour.  Our tour will be held on March 25, 2017 at KE Bushman's Celebration Center. Our routes have changed slightly this year.  We have six routes with the following distances (in miles):  13, 26, 38, 46, 57, and 64.  All routes will encounter “The Beast”, so start training now!

Online registration opened January 28th. Mail-in registration forms and tour information are available on the Beauty and the Beast website:  www.tbcbnb.com or you can email us at bnb.bike.tour@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you again this year!

Note:  The "Beast" is exactly that -- about 1/2(?) mile of 8-13% grade...  I did it on the StratusXP, about 8 years ago, and made it up. Won't be quite the same balance challenge on the trike this year!   Smiley

I just signed up for the 64 miler. I am not in very good shape yet and my Baron has the wrong gearing for climbing. I still will not walk the Beast though. Smiley

Just take plenty of ice for your mint julep and a comfy pillow on the way up!  You're trikin' it now!   Smiley

Found out last week that I would have to have arthroscopic surgery this week to repair the Inguinal Hernia surgery I had in January. Seems like I can't plan anything. Hope everyone has a great time at the ride. I was looking forward to riding, will have to wait until next year.
