I emailed Easystreet in Austin and asked if they could sponsor the exact same event for recumbents only--no uprights invited or allowed. They responded that it was a really pricey place to rent, but that they would put it on their "look seriously into" file. Can y'all email Easystreet if you are remotely interested in an event like this? I could see this being one of the greatest events in the country. But we need to get the ball rolling.

Years ago a friend rented it for an overnight inline skate (not even a race, we just needed a 12 hour training session), I think a lot of how much they charge is (was) based on usage.  Since nobody wanted to use it that weekend, it was real cheap.
