New shifters
Nov 9th, 2015, 8:16pm

Have finaly had a chance to do a more detailed eval after my little slide.  The rear shifter was ground up a litte more than i originally thought.  It stil functions but wil need to be replaced.  To that end I am looking for some input..  Current set up is Sram 9.0 shifters twisters, front dr is an Ultegra triple and rear dr is a Sram x-7 9 speed.  I have the Rans HR 3way bar on the F5 swb.  I like the twist shift but could open to something else.

Thanks for any input

I use SRAM "exact-actuation" trigger shifters on three of my bikes. Once the derailleurs are dialed in, no hunting is required, like sometimes required for twist shifters, and the settings don't drift. Up and down shifts are fast. The only problem is "exact actuation" is available in only 10-speed shifters. Don't know how well 9-speed SRAM trigger shifters hold settings in combination with X-series derailleurs, and whether or not hunting is sometimes required, but I'd prefer them over twist shifters.
