The Legendary Paris - Brest - Paris
Aug 18th, 2015, 1:23am

The event was well represented by bents of all sorts.  Funny seeing 700s in Europe.  Actually all bents save the velos made it seem to me like a picturesque, cultural throwback town in America.

Oops, forgot to add a link to a video of the recumbent start.

Enjoy!

We had quite a few locals in the event, one on a CA2.

There were a lot more recumbents than I expected to see. When are people going to admit that recumbents aren't that unusual anymore?

Wanna see more of the city and the recumbents moving along faster?  Also, footage from a velomobile:

I did this ride about 15 years ago on my P38 (53h 18min), it was absolutely one of the best cycling events I've ever attended .. People actually *like* seeing you on the street ..  they are generally helpful and excited about you being there.     As I build my endurance back up, its one of my goals to do again.
