Key, you'd be proud!
Sep 4th, 2014, 7:11am

We're going to pick up another Catrike this weekend.  This will make 4 in the family now, 2 Speeds, and 2 Roads.  This one will be our newest (an 09 or 10 from what I gather)  CRT1288.  Two of my kids don't really want to ride that much, but two of them love triking!  I wish I could take them on an RBENT ride, but no worries.  Maybe when we return from Europe in 3 years, we can move back to north Texas...we'll see.  I'll post pics of the 'pride' when we get it Saturday!

Dave, not sure what that means...but if you want to send me money-OK!
Vic, yes we'll be the e-RBENT, or UKRBENT...no none of those work.  We'll have our own group rides though with just my family alone!  I've looked forward to this day!

Jim, hope you enjoy England.  You might check out this guy's videos for routes.  https://www.youtube.com/user/1001Darkeyes/videos.  Be safe--they do ride on the wrong side of the road.

Let's call it the Crown Contingent of RBENT!   I think that works well.  What say you?

And Dave means you ship him the good Trappist beers that they don't foist off on tourists, and he sends you money...  Smiley

Had to go back and edit my phone typos...

Hope the shipping contractor is careful with all 4 trikes, Jim!  Remember to bribe the movers, on both ends of the move!

I have found bribes/tips help nary a bit!  When we moved here to GA, we had the worst moved we ever had.  Jewelry stolen, BBQ looked like a pretzel!  Garden tools just never showed up.  Praying this time will be better...

You'll enjoy the place.  You may have to learn to ride in the rain, but there's little chance of toad stranglers or tornadoes.  I'd like to live there a while.

Yessir, right proud!  I'd love to see video of your family in England on the trikes.
Okay, so I guess I missed a turn somewhere.  What's the trip to England about?  Point me to the thread, or PM me.  I'm happy for you guys!

No other thread that I can remember just got a new job (supervisor) over there for 3 years.  I figured after 26 years Federal Service I needed to check off the supervisor box, as I'm about topped out in rank as a non-supervisor.  I've done really well to get where I am, and God has definitely blessed this course, but was at another glass ceiling.  This has some great benefits besides the obvious: Europe for 3 years.  I can come back to the same position when I get done if it turns out the supervisor position is just terrible.  I don't really see that happening, but it was a good safety net...and Europe!  I finally get to take my family to some of the places I went when I was in the military all those years and they never got to go!  This position will also allow me to apply for promotions from there.

I'll post pics of the family after we get the new Road tomorrow!

Jim, during that time, you've got to take the family with trikes to the Netherlands.  I was blown away with the number of bikes as well as the bike paths with signs for towns and distances on them.  It's something the kids will NEVER forget.  Good luck and enjoy the three years.

Finally got the '06 Road (#1288) this afternoon!   Kim says she really likes the seat on the new Road (it has cushion on the rails).  Now I have to get one for her and pass down a Speed to one of the kids.  Put all the kids on them for a photo op, and of course they made sure we knew that they all fit on the current fleet...that Speed that Kyle is on is the one fitted for me...when did he get so big!?

Then out of the blue she looks at me and says, you better start saving for that 700!  WOO HOO!!!
