Greater Dallas 100 - May 18th
Apr 30th, 2014, 5:40am

Is anyone else considering this one?  http://www.funbikin.com/GreaterDallas100.htm

Ride Belt Line Road from end-to-end for a 100 mile ride, start when/where you want.

I'm planning on riding counter-clockwise, starting somewhere in the Richardson/Garland area, not sure at what time.

Beltline is WAY too busy in the Addison area as well in Irving and Grand Prairie.  I don't know about the east side or south.

Kenny has made us ride part of the Southeast section before, but I agree.  Up North and West it's a weekend thoroughfare for shoppers.

I'd love to try this. Don't know, yet, if I'll be available. The boy child has to get finished with his scout project. Every weekend between now and midnight, May 25 are reserved.  Smiley

You want to plan it to get through the north area (Garland through Carrollton) somewhat early, to beat the traffic - especially in Richardson.  So start near the airport and go east, or start in Garland and go west...    And watch the sections of 2 lane road down near Lancaster...

Being on a Sunday, the early morning will be pretty light on car traffic -- but you'll get the church crowd later around noon!

I can't do it, got other conflicts already.

I'm going to ride it, just not sure when I'll start the ride, due to a niece's ballet recital Saturday night.

Im a maybe for this ride.  BUT if I get up early enough, My plan is to do 1/2 of it.  Im going to catch the DART rail blue-line down to Ledbetter station.  Pedal south to Lancaster TX where I will hook up with Belt-Line and proceed counter-clockwise up Belt line (Eastern Half) back to Plano.  Letting the S-SE wind push me north.

It looks like I'll be starting at 6AM in Garland where Beltline connects to Rowlett Road, also heading CCW.
