RBM Recumbent Ride
Apr 23rd, 2014, 6:35pm

Key L asked me to post this. He contacted RBM about this month's ride, and they have now posted info about it on their "Upcoming Events" calendar. See: http://bikemart.com/events/rbm-events-pg1625.htm. Ride will take place this Saturday (Apr 26), leaving from RBM's Richardson store at 8:15 AM. Bring your trikes and bikes and ride with us. It's free - what a bargain!  Smiley

The next RBM ride takes place this Saturday (May 31) at the Richardson store location at 8:30 AM. RBM's "Upcoming Events" calendar indicates the start time is 8:15, but just confirmed with Joel Hernandez that the correct time is 8:30. See y'all there.

Last month, we had eleven riders that rode to the Starbuck's rest stop on Renner Road. Six riders turned around and rode back to RBM. Total mileage for them was 19+. Don't know what their average speed was (10 to 11 mph ?). Five of us on trikes opted for more miles, tracing some of the Plano East Side route, then back down Renner Road and eventually to RBM for a total of 29.4 miles. On the flats we were probably rolling at 15 mph or so. We did a lot of hill climbing, so our average was probably in the area of 13.5 mph.

Thanks for the info.  Sorry I missed it: hubby and I ended up hosting a BBQ Saturday so I had to prepare for that instead.  Hope it was a good one!
