Actually I'm going to be carrying really light weight running shoes in the back F-40 storage area (lots of room there). I'll change out my speed play bike shoes for the running shoes at the bottom of the hill, walk the hill, then put the speed plays back on.
Looking at the strava segment results for the various slower riders this would put me at the back of the pack but easily doable in under 20 minutes (the slowest time).
I'm just doing the 'race' to have some fun and enjoy a new experience. I talked Ryan into creating a special HPV category for the F-40, so unless a Quest shows up I'm good
I'll be practicing the running shoe technique on local hills around Georgetown to see if it is worth the trouble, or if I might actually be able to haul the F-40 with it's over-weight engine up that climb.
