Quote from Action Lad on Apr 29th, 2014, 9:31am:Quote from FlyingLaZBoy on Apr 26th, 2014, 2:28pm:... if there's a woman (or man) with a ~41" x-seam that is joining us on the brunch ride, I could bring the trike to you Thursday or Friday evening, and you would ride it from WRL to our place in Rowlett -- while Terrie and I are both riding along on the tandem. We're actually going to drive in to WRL with the tandem, and leave the car there for the return. So, we would pretend the trike is yours, and perhaps talk about how much you like it, along the way -- whatever... We get to the house, everybody eats, and then eventually, we all wander back out to the driveway/garage, and suddenly break into "Happy Birthday To You" while I wheel the trike up to her... again, to everyone's obvious approval!!! And then give her a chance to take it up and down the block for a bit. I doubt she will be up for riding it the 15 miles back to WRL -- so whomever rides the trike out to Rowlett, can either jump on the back of the tandem with me, or perhaps ride the Rocket back to WRL while I ride the Xstream. Or if she wants to ride the tandem back to WRL, you could either ride the trike back, or the Rocket. My X-seam is 45. Does the seat adjust that far? I can dig out my SPD-cleated shoes. If you'd like, I can do the sneaky deed, if anyone can believe I'd ride another trike, . Just have paramedics on hand when folks faint from laughter. Excellent, yes, it easily handles 45" (which is me, actually)... you'll have to be a little careful compared to what you're used to, because the seat is higher, so you have to watch yourself in turns to avoid tipping it - but you can also lean into it, which is nice. How shall we do the "handoff" Thursday or Friday? PB
