Quote from shellbear on Mar 22nd, 2014, 8:42pm:Jay, the reason their prices went up was to offset those who don't do fundraising at all. The cheaper registration fee is for people who pledge to raise a minimum of $200 (or is it $150? I've seen both on the site...) In previous years where it's been a flat fee for everyone regardless of how much the rider raised in donations, they felt that the charity wasn't making enough of a "profit," hence the change. I'm with you though, it is pretty pricey... There was a discounted registration day at RBM a couple of weeks back, I probably should have posted about that but I was still MIA on the forums here.
I preregistered for last year's rained-out Ride Ataxia, because I wanted to join Team Easy Street, like I had done the previous year. Would have done it this year, if Jane had set up a team. I normally don't preregister for pay rides, because I've been burned by rain-outs so many times.
