RideKick powered trailer
Oct 2nd, 2013, 2:29pm

Yesterday I bought a RideKick powered trailer from RBM and gave it to Vicky for her birthday.  Joel sold me the Lithium battery floor model for half price.  (Ken, I forgot to ask if they were selling the other floor model.)

Today I connected it to the Anora delta trike using the hitch we already had to connect two trikes together.  We went riding around the neighborhood; Vicky riding the trike while I was riding the Bachetta.  The RideKick has a lot of power to really move a person up a hill.  There wasn't any way I could keep up to her.

We have ordered a second connector and controller so we can put it behind the tandem trike.

I hope this trailer will help move us toward my goal of cycle touring by allowing us to cover more mileage in a day and give us a backup in case we need to travel further than planned before stopping for the night.  My concern is that we will get lazy because this makes it very easy stop pedaling and let the trailer do all the work.
