RANS Rally, Sept 20-21-22
Aug 19th, 2013, 10:26am

The RANS Rally has been moved off of Labor Day weekend, to the weekend of Sept 20-22 instead.  Rothgeb and I are going up, leaving midday that Thursday.   There is the typical "casual" Friday afternoon ride, although we may arrange a renegade Friday morning ride for more exertion.  Also, there is no "Official" Sunday ride this year, but we are arranging a "renegade" repeat of last year's Wilson Lake ride from the Wilson Railroad Hotel, to go do some serious hill climbing that morning before driving back.

Dave R and I are taking to GDB df riders up with us (as future 'bent converts), leaving Thursday morning, and stopping in Greensburg, KS on the way -- Greensburg got destroyed by an F5 tornado back in 2007, and is rebuilding "green" -- solar power, wind turbines, specialty building materials, etc.   We'll continue to Hays later that evening.

Friday morning we're planning to do a 35-40 mile "Cathedral Loop" ride that has been done in the past, but going clockwise in the somewhat easier direction   http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3327762

Friday afternoon is the around town "ice cream ride", and Friday night is dinner at Gella's the local microbrewery.

Saturday morning is a longer (45+) group ride, to the south and west, to Antonino and Ellis.  We rode to Ellis and back last year, on our own...   http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2592405

Saturday afternoon is the usual demo bike riding and swimming pool time at Randy's, followed by a BBQ dinner and MTB time trials behind the factory.

Sunday morning, we're packing up and heading east to Wilson Lake, to do a repeat of the 25-mile Lucas loop we did a couple years ago  http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3327840 , followed by lunch and driving back home...

Man, sounds like a fun and busy weekend, Paul!  We might have to go up there next year with the Seavo.
