Let's gather the clan together on the morning of July 4th for a ride out of the Buck's / Embassy Suites parking lot at Bass Pro and 35E -- 8AM rollout!!!  We can put two (or three?) speed groups together for different distances, then grab something to eat afterwards...
 
I'll throw a couple routes together, and post maps...

I have a DF neighbor who is interested in bents, any reason he can't tag along and talk to some folks with different rides?  Events like this are a great opportunity for those not yet converted to experience the variances in platforms.

RIDE PLANS CHANGED, 7/2 -- Join in on John Gillard's 42-miler semi-GDB ride instead -- Lynn and Carolyn have done this before, and enjoy it (and plan to be there!)
 
The ride will start from the Avaya Building parking lot at 1111 Freeport Pkwy, Coppell, TX at 8:00 am.  This is about a half mile north of 635, on Freeport, on the left.  We will go across and down through Valley Ranch, Towards Esters and Rochelle area, then back up the west side of the airport and over to the 360 service road, etc.  Probable rolling pace around 15-16 mph, with two rest stops planned.  There will be a few hills along Rochelle...  probably ending average 14 mph.
 
C'mon out for something different -- challenge yourself!   I don't think John has maps, but consider it essentially "no drop" with regrouping.  There will probably be ~15 miles between stops.
 
We'll probably get back to the parking lot around noon -- there are plans to drive down to Club Schmitz near Love Field afterwards, for lunch.
